There are many theories, formulas or major weight loss programs that can help a person develop a total personal plan for weight management. The problem is choosing among a dizzying array of concepts available. The bookshelves are loaded with this or that doctor's final dieting solution, from Dr. Atkins to Dr. Sears to Dr. Shapiro, along with thousands of websites devoted to the same concepts. So how do you choose?
Keep in mind that the best weight loss programs on those that keep you engaged in following the plan, instead of giving up on it out of frustration. Look for diets that seem to be sustainable over the medium to long run, especially those that allow you to eat a wide range of foods. If you use programs that tell you to workout intensely twice a day, was eating a grapefruit diet throughout, you're probably not going to stick with it. If you do a weight loss and exercise program that's tied to a popular TV program or personality, however, your chances of staying true it are stronger
By the same token, don't use weight loss programs based solely on passing fad, or of a "guru" whose expertise may mainly come from our old ideas stood together from other diet and exercise books. Keep yourself involved in the program by following its rules at the lowest, simplest and most doable level, which will further and sure you can handle continuing the system. Whatever system you are on, keep yourself informed about the latest dieting concepts and theories. Some of that material could probably be incorporated into your personal weight loss program.
