I am sure most of you know what type of exercises are considered cardiovascular exercises. For those of you who do not, let me provide some easy examples.
Cardio exercises are performed to either strengthen your cardiovascular and respiratory system as well as burn calories to help you shed unwanted fat.
To get the most out of your cardio exerices based on your specific goal the secret ingredient is timining.
How long you perform cardio or do not perform cardio will determine the benefit.
In order to burn fat from calories your cardio program should be longer than 20 minutes but shorter than 45 minutes.
Exercising for longer than 45 minutes will no longer contribute to fat loss.
Same holds true for exercise programs that are performed in under 20 minutes.
Some cardio exercises are:
Running or walking on a treadmill
Rowing
Stairclimber
Eliptical
My favorite machine is the eliptical. The eliptical is a bit tough in the beginning however it will provide an excellent work out once you have strengthen yourself to handle the exercise work load.
