The title of this post is probably one of the most asked weight loss questions so I thought it would be a good idea to comment on it.
With the popularity of the Atkins Diet carbohydrates have received much negative attention. Thanks to Dr. Atkins and his popular diet many of us have come to believe that carbs should be avoided at all costs if weight loss is to be achieved.
The truth of the matter is that carbs are a crucial component in our daily nutrition. We need carbs to fuel our bodies, our organs, our brains and for energy.
I will discuss carbs in a more detailed form on a later date but for now we should change our perception of carbohydrate intake.
According to the FDA’s daily minimum nutritional requirement we should consume 330 grams of carbohydrates per day to ensure basic body function.
