The FatGuy goes on a Diet

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

hcg injections weight loss 200X200 The FatGuy goes on a DietFor a long time, Joe Maresca has been a close friend of mine. He has always looked out for me financially, socially and emotionally. Over the past 2 years I had gained in excess of 50 pounds. Joe says he still remembers the days when I was a lean and mean 199lb beast. For nearly 18 months Joe continued to tell me he was going to get me on a diet. I guess he was just too busy back then to get me on one sooner.

Finally, one day, Joe walked into my office and challenged me to lose the 50lbs that I had gained in the past 2 years. Joe said that if I wanted to continue to work for him I was going to need to lose 50 pounds. I knew he was only joking since we had been friends for over 20 years. However, I took his challenge very seriously. I told him that I will see your 50lbs and raise you another 10. He laughed and with his great smile accepted the challenge.

For the entire diet challenge I will write about the road to my weight loss goal. I am sure it will be a bumpy one so stay tuned for my daily posts.

5 Weight Loss Tips that are Better than 50 Weight Loss Tips

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

The Internet is filled with hundreds, maybe even thousands of weight loss tips and tactics. We decided throw together only 5 weight loss tips that WILL significantly decrease your weight (but they need to become a part of your life).

1. Stop Drinking Diet Soda.

Eliminate anything you drink that isn’t water. Even diet soda! We promise you will lose weight.

2. Don’t Eat 4 hours before you go to bed.

If you are accustomed to going to bed at 10 p.m., your last meal should be at 6 p.m. If you are not waking up hungry, you are eating too late.

3. Keep Track of Your Daily Food Intake.

Keeping a food journal is a great weapon in the fight against fat. Jotting down what you ate and the contents of those foods will allow you to maintain a cleaner diet but you have to be honest. Journaling will not work if you eat a bag of potato chips and don’t add it to the journal. If you eat the chips, write it down. It is ok to cheat once in a while. If you keep track of it your less likely to over do it.

4. Don’t Take Weight Loss Lessons from Advertisements.

If you think the information you receive about some weight loss product or services from an Infomercial or a magazine ad is informative weight loss information, you are wrong.

5. You Don’t Need a Gym Membership to Workout.

Even though going to the gym is a great place to become slimmer and healthier, it doesn’t mean that the Gym is the only place to workout. You can get a very good workout in from your home or office, without major gym equipment.

Just think outside the box or keep coming back to LackFat.com. I am sure we will have content in the future that will outline workouts from the home and office (or you can simply ask for some workout or exercise routines for your home or office at our forum at http://www.lackfat.com/forum ).

Stop falling for Weight Loss Hype Once and For All

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

I have been around the fitness world for over 2 decades & during that time I have tried & tested many weight loss products. I must say that I have seen some that work & others that do not work.

LackFat.com was created by people who have tested nearly every weight loss pill, product & plan. We have spent plenty of dollars finding out what works & what doesn’t & the purpose of this publication is to inform our readers. We want you to stop wasting time & money on products that do not work & help you develop a body you can be proud of.

As Fitness professionals, we are troubled about obesity. There is a direct correlation between being overweight & having medical issues. These medical issues include cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, osteoarthritis,  diabetes, & cancer are well known in the medical field. Nothing makes us more upset than misleading claims in the ads for weight loss plans,  weight loss products & diet fads.
Many of these products claim easy & immediate success without having to reduce calorie consumption or exercise. The use of false,  deceptive, & misleading messages in weight loss ads are wide spread & dangerous. Many weight loss supplements (pills) have not been proven to work, possess value & can be linked to serious health risks.

A large percentage of adults in the U.S are overweight or obese. This demographic is known to spend over $40 billion a year on weight loss products & services. We feel that these  consumers are entitled to accurate, & reliable information weight loss methods. Many people who purchase weight loss products & services are not fully informed about the weight loss they are buying. In some cases these products & service are useless or even dangerous.

This is where LackFat.com comes in to play. We want to supply our readers with the fire power they need to be fully informed whenever they are seeking to lose weight. I am sure many of you who are reading this have spent money on weight loss products that only made your wallet lighter rather than your body weight. YOU DON’T NEED WEIGHT LOSS PRODUCTS!!

Studies show that over weight & obese adults can lose about 1 lb. per week & achieve a 5% to 15% weight loss by consuming 500 to 1,000 calories a day less than the caloric intake required for the maintenance of their current weight. Very low calorie diets result in faster weight loss, but lower rates of long-term success. Does this statement ring any bells?

Exercising & lowering the calories you consume will help overweight & obese people achieve minimally faster weight loss early on. However exercise needs to play a role in your treatment or weight loss plan.
To lose weight & keep it off requires changes in eating, exercising & even thinking in order to achieve success. Not the latest diet fad or weight loss product. Behavioral treatments that motivate therapeutic lifestyle changes can promote long-term success by helping obese individuals make necessary cognitive & lifestyle changes.

If you are looking to lose weight & don’t know where to begin, simply visit our Weight Loss Forum & ask one of our experts for assistance. Like I have mentioned earlier in this article, we want to steer you in the right direction without the need for spending money. Our weight loss forum can be found here: http://www.lackfat.com/forum

Weight Loss Tips & Advice from the Experts

Sunday, August 15th, 2010

Lackfat.com is a Health & Fitness publication dedicated to educating and giving its readers insight into the world of weight loss. In 2008 consumers spent over $61 billion on trying to lose weight. The weight loss industry doesn’t make money if you lose weight and keep it off. Unlike the present weight loss business model of ensuring that you gain back the weight you lost 6 months ago so you buy this year’s hot new weight loss product, LackFat.com is dedicated to helping you lose weight and keeping it off.

Currently there are nearly 1.2 billion people in the World that are overweight.  Overweight is a person with a body mass index (BMI) over 25 kg (55lbs)/m2 (1 meter = 39.3700787 inches).
BMI is defined as the weight in kilograms divided by the square of the height in meters (kg (lbs.)/m2(meters)).

LackFat.com will provide you with unbiased information about weight loss tactics, exercises, dieting and supplements. We guarantee that if you apply the advice given throughout the site you WILL lose weight.  LackFat.com Founder Joe Maresca has nearly 20 years of Health & Fitness experience. Joe’s extensive experience comes not only from his professional experience as a Health & Fitness advisor but by personal experience as well. LackFat.com does not possess a personal agenda. LackFat will NOT suggest a weight loss product or a weight loss tactic unless we know for certain that it works either by testing or studying it or if it is something that we have tried personally and seen results.
